It was exciting to sketch my husband's photograph on the first day. He is an artist and I wanted to surprise him by showing my poor sketching skills. I looked at some sketching videos online and decided I will use a grid model to sketch him.
First, I selected an image of his and added a grid on top of it with the help of some online tools. Then I drew grids on paper same as the grid on the computer screen. I think some 13 : 10 grid.
Then I drew the contents of each cell in the grid. This was the first time I even touched a pencil to sketch. So I did it as lightly as possible with the help of eraser now and then.
